Following the success of their Venetian Summer programme in 2022 the period instrument orchestra Leeds Baroque, director Peter Holman and leader Asuka Sumi return to The Old Woollen. In a programme of lively Baroque Concertos, familiar works by George Frederick Handel and (perhaps less familiar) works by William Babell and Giuseppe Sammartini they will be joined by the internationally renowned German recorder virtuoso, Tabea Debus.

"Leeds Baroque Orchestra is a national treasure and one that I whole-heartedly support" - Dame Evelyn Glennie

"Tabea Debus is the kind of virtuoso who makes you forget how superb she is technically MusicWeb International a charismatic virtuoso, (her performance) neat, unforced, beautifully articulated.” – THE TIMES

"Debus is a brilliant recorder player on a variety of instruments... Fine, flexible playing." - Andrew MacGregor (BBC RADIO 3)
