Recently retired cricket commentator Henry Blofeld, nicknamed Blowers by Brian Johnston, is celebrated as a leading English sports journalist and bon vivante.

He became best known for his inimitable cricket commentaries for TEST MATCH SPECIAL on both BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio Five Live. With his larger-than-life personality, sharp wit and trademark turns of phrase - 'My dear old thing' - Blowers established a reputation as a commentator with an accent, vocabulary and syntax that is quintessentially Old Etonian in both style and substance. He has written regularly on cricket, is a wine expert and entertains audiences talking about his life and career at theatres and festivals.

At the end of the event Henry will also sign copies of his books, which will be available to purchase on the night courtesy of Farsley's Truman Books.

Presented in association with Clive Conway Productions.
